Communion season
My son is celebrating his communion this year. I am buying him a navy suit. I typically do a cognac shoe with navy. Is that appropriate for church? Any suggestions on shoes for boys and where to buy them?

Not sure where to buy as I only have a girl, but wanted to weigh in on the fashion side.

I can’t see why that wouldn’t be appropriate.
For one day wear, I’d try DSW or Kohl’s.

That's what DS wore for his as well. I got his shoes at Kohls. They were really nice quality.

It will depend on the church. I know some dictate tie color etc.
We did a navy suit sneakers and a blue tie but ours was during Covid so it was during Sunday mass in small (5 kids) at a time so really anything went!!

Communion season
I bought Cognac slip on sneakers from Kohls for DS to wear this past fall. DS 1 wore black shoes (but they were too small for DS 2). They wore them for such a short time so I didn't kill myself over it - I bought the black shoes from Children's Place.

I think Cognac is perfect, and that's what most of the boys have worn that I have photographed for Communions. I would check Amazon for them or Burlington!

Thanks for the suggestions. I wouldnt have thought of Kohls but maybe ill take a look there! Do little boys wear a belt with their suit? So many questions LOL
