It's actually hilarious because there was a thread on here about the American Dream Mall and how people went over break and it was beyond packed and nobody was wearing masks or at least not correctly.
So you can go there over break and go right back to school the next day no issues? But fly to Florida or go to a beach house in the Carolinas and some schools still make you stay home against new state regulations?
Hilarious.
Nothing makes sense anymore. It's like bizzaro world.
Yes that's why I am sure some would call us selfish and entitled for traveling as much as we have but I don't know a single person that got Covid from traveling. We certainly didn't. There are much riskier "at home" activities than travel alone, with your household.
We also did the American Dream mall and definitely felt that that was riskier than almost anything else we've done since the pandemic started, although we've had covid so it was a non issue for us. I've felt this way for awhile... You couldn't do a less risky vacation in certain states but, you could go to a crowded destination in the tri state area...

I often wondered how much those rules were about safety and how much they were about punishing the states that NY disagreed with by making travel to them difficult....

We would've done more traveling if we didn't have other activities to be home for. It was just a lot to quarantine on the other end of the trip.
That's good to know St Thomas is considered the US.

St. Thomas, St. John and Puerto Rico are all US if you are looking for a Caribbean destination!
