Any Outer Banks frequent flyers here?
What activities do you do there? I have 3 boys. Do I need to make reservations or get tickets in advance for anything? Also, what's the restaurant situation? We are staying in Carola I think it's called. Should we make reservations now? Has anyone ever hired a chef to come to the house? The only thing I care about is not getting stuck cooking. Share houses are great until I realize I'm doing the same crap I do at home but in nicer scenery. I'm not playing that game again.

We went to Corolla years ago - it's beautiful! I don't remember booking anything in advance and we were on the 4x4 beach so we mainly just stayed at the house and cooked all week. We had a huge house and my whole extended family went. Just one bit of advice - you need to get to the bridge early enough because there is only one way on and off that island and if you don't get there early you'll be sitting in traffic for hours.

Thanks for all the tips and ideas!!
When we went we left LI at 3-4am and sat in traffic at the bridge for 2 hrs.
Going home we left Friday night to avoid the Saturday check out traffic.
