Re: Great Wolf Lodge
We just went at the beginning of June. We haven’t been there in a while. Basically since kalahari opened.
That said I didn’t realize how small freak wolf is compared to kalahari but it’s was still a good time. My kids enjoyed themselves.
Good thing about great Wolf there really is no height limit except for a couple of the rides for kids to go on as long as they are with an adult.

Re: Great Wolf Lodge
We went in February. What I like about GWL over Kalahari is the wand game. I believe it's called Magic Quest. It kept the kids entertained for hours and out of the arcade which would cost me a kidney. What's also great about that game is that it's all right off of the lobby so you can see the kids running back and forth. So while they were playing, DH and I were having cocktails in the lobby and we could see them running around. I'm not sure how old your kids are but if they are over I would say 5, they will love it. I would recommend going on ebay or marketplace to see if you can buy a wand. They are expensive. I think they start at $40 and go up from there. If you have it, you just re-activate it and pay $10 to play the game.
The real downside to GWL is the food. Inedible. Prisoners eat better. I am not a picky eater at all so if I am telling you its bad, it is really bad. Plan on going out to dinner.

Re: Great Wolf Lodge
Forgot about the magiquest game.
The wands are only like $20 if you don’t get the topper. I didn’t let them get the toppers (they come with a ball one) it wasn’t worth the money and it took me a little bit to figure out the topper really isn’t the top of the wand but the bottom lol. We didn’t do the game part though you can just buy the wand and use it in demo mode or something like that End it will open all the chest and do everything else it just won’t let you play the game which was fine because my kids were going to do it all and it takes like six hours and we didn’t get it the first night we were there.
Also we only got food for lunch there. We bring breakfast for the kids and for dinner this last tome we went to a brewery and it was Fantastic I definitely recommend it. It’s called Barley Creek

We haven't been in a while, but my kid loves the MagiQuest game. So much so that we used to drive to a place in Jersey that had it. (they don't any longer - it's now strictly available at GWL). As others have said, the food completely sucks. Plan on leaving to get anything decent.

We like GWL! It's smaller but still fun! And easier to keep track of your kids. My kids LOVE the Magiquest game also. And the outdoor ropes course (if they still have that). I also found their entertainment options to be better for small kids (story time, etc.)

Re: Great Wolf Lodge
Did anyone get a cabana? Is it worth it? The cost is anywhere from 150$ to 199$ a day I think.

Yes I did for the second day we were there. (I don’t like getting them the day we arrive because we’re not there at opening or even close to opening and then I feel it’s not worth it)
We like them so we have a reserved spot. We got the 4-6 person (which by the way definitely fits more than that.) I like the locations of those especially since my kids are old enough to go on things by themselves. So I was able to watch them from my spot at different place. One thing I don’t like cause we get them at kalahari so I am use to it is there is no fan or tv. Tv is not a big deal but fan would be nice.
However with the ones agree with they give you I think up to 6 or 8 nonalcoholic drinks so that’s nice plus water.

We have never booked a cabana, but we would always get to the park right when it opened and grab tables and put our stuff on it. We've done this with huge groups of friends and had no issues at all.

Yes we got one and I think it is worth it. It's nice to have a private spot to leave all your stuff and to come back and relax. Especially if you have little ones.

Re: Great Wolf Lodge
I remember thinking the story time in the lobby was cute (but it was the same story every night).
