Besides pizza, most cost effective way to cater a party?
Long story short, I just got roped into hosting something for DH's family. I want to put in zero effort so I am not cooking anything. I also don't want to do just pizza but I definitely don't want to spend a lot of money either. Any ideas for reasonable catering?

Probably like some kind of Italian food- trays of pasta can be a cheaper option like a baked ziti and then you can do salad and bread

I’ve catered from Greek Street in massapequa a few times and it was super reasonable. Also some Mexican restaurants will cater taco bars which are easy and usually crowd pleasers.

As Nell suggested I would just do trays of pasta, salad and pizza from a local italian place. If you have to do one meat maybe a tray of sausage and peppers.

I would never get tired of pizza. Simple, yummy fast clean up. Different toppings, garlic knots and a salad. But if you want,I'd add on tray of meatballs or pasta of some sort.

Just went to a birthday party last night…they catered Greek. Trays of chicken and pork souvlaki, warm pitas, seasoned fries and Greek salad…and a big container of yogurt sauce…it was good and different for a change. Heroes are another simple option.

ezcater.com is good. tons of places on LI on there and I found the prices to be better. I catered christmas through a restaurant that was on that site, and for 10 adults and 7 kids it was under $200

Get hero’s from BJs and you said you aren’t cooking anything but it’s easy to throw together a big caesarean salad and you can get a tray of wings or something…

Caesarean salad with a side of placenta?
Sorry, I couldn’t help myself with that autocorrect.

Chinese food restaurants sometimes has a catering menu, Famous Daves is also a good one for inexpensive BBQ or try BJS or Costco for their catering menus.
