Dinner sides...
The bane of my existence.
What do you make as sides for dinner that your kids will eat? I'm good for mac and cheese and butter noodles but looking to expand my children's discerning palate.

Dinner sides...
My 9 year old likes rice mixes like Near East Long Grain and Wild Rice. He also like potatoes cut into wedges and baked.

Dinner sides...
My DD is 13 and has a much better palate now, but when I was trying to expand it, I started with things she liked...so she likes avocado- I would add that salads, so she'd try it. Dip veggies in any dressing/sauce she liked (if I made string beans, she used to dip in Italian or ranch dressing) She loved Caesar salad because of the croutons and cheese- so we had that a lot...then she evolved into liking a lot of salads. sprinkling parm cheese on veggies worked too. it takes time and it's not always going to be a win, especially not the first time. She liked couscous, so I'd a small amount of veggies to it, then a little more the next time, etc. Shredded zucchini into pasta dishes and now she loves zucchini. Same with Spinach, add fresh spinach to pasta and now she loves it. Also, Veggies I thought she would like, were not the ones she did- I kept trying peas bc to me, they are sweet, she hated (and still hates) them, but loves red, yellow and orange peppers, cauliflower, spinach..

Re: Dinner sides...
Other than fries, I got nothing. My DD eats about 5 things- all which can be found on a children's menu in any restaurant.

We tend to eat a lot of rice. White rice, flavored rice, brown rice. We also do noodles, salad, and fries. Recently I have been making quinoa and couscous as well. And then we have a veggie usually as well.

It's kinda boring, but at least they eat it Of course it depends on what I'm making too
