Tattoos?
If you got one on LI or even NYC (I could make the trip for a new tattoo), where did you get it? ANd would you recommend the place or not? I am planning to get my first one, but I want to make sure I go someplace good!

My 2 artists have since retired, but I highly recommend Surge or Tommy at Tattoo Frenzy in Lindenhurst. They have done a lot of very different styled tattoos for DH & a bunch of our friends, and each time I am amazed at the quality of work. Plus they are cool & funny people & make you feel really comfortable there.
They are on Sunrise Highway in the little shopping center just before the beginning of the Sunrise Highway service road.

I googled it and found it. Plus a myspace for the tattoo place with a bunch of pics! Very cool!

My brother and I went to Davinci Tattoo in Wantagh last year. I was very happy. The place is very clean, and is done in a small private room.
I don't remember the name of the guy who did mine, but I gave him something to copy and he did a great job.

I got one of mine done at DaVinci Tattoo in Wantagh and the other two was done at Matt's Tribal Dragon, the big one Matt did and came out awesome, the other one (I forgot the guys name) came out so so. Needs to be recolored.

My first was done by Alder- at Davinci- but he's not there anymore (this was 1994)
My 2nd was done by Mariano at Rising Dragon on 23rd (under the Chelsea Hotel) b/w 7th and 8th
Then I had the very first done covered up and added to by Matt @ Rising Dragon... I recommend him- he was reasonable and did it completely custom for me- i left him w/ ideas of waht I was thinking and he took a photo of my current tat and came up w/ ideas for the coverup/addition.

Tattoo Lou's had been overturning staff a lot lately. They guys at Tattoo Frenzy used to work for Lou's
Not to say that it is a bad thing; Lou's does have a good reputation.
