hcg trigger
Hi, I am new to this board and I just finished my first IVF cycle. How long does the trigger shot stay in your system. Also, if mine was mixed with 2ml's of water to dilute it, does that make it 5,000 instead of 10,000 units?

Re: hcg trigger
I want to guess about 11-12 days
All I remember is that the remaining drug in your body can give you a false positive on a HPT.

Re: hcg trigger
For 5000 I would say 5-6 days

Re: hcg trigger
what do you think about mixing it with 2 ml's instead of one. One is the norm. Does that make it less?? I did a hpt at 12 days past trigger and it was positive and I am so mad at myself because I know it is probably a false positive.

Re: hcg trigger
does mixing it with two waters make it 5,000 and not 10,000? I am so confused!

Re: hcg trigger
ok, I think I found the answer. If you mix 2ml's with the 10,000 units and then put 1 ml in the shot it equals 5,000 units. I would think it would be out of my body by 12 days, but who knows. I am not going to get my hopes up. Also, would an hpt be positive sonner if it was twins?? In my last two pregnancies (both ended in miscarriage), I didn't get a positive this soon.
