Clomid without IUI?
I'm starting Clomid for the first time today and my doctor says I can try on my own or do an IUI. Has anyone had success or stories with using Clomid and trying on their own? Is it better to have an IUI when taking Clomid? Any help would be appreciated.

I tried 3 cycles with Clomid w/o IUI and had no luck. I am now on cycle 5 of Clomid and going for my 2nd IUI.
I know of several people who did a few rounds of clomid w/o the IUI.

I did three cycles of Clomid "naturally" and got pregnant on the 3rd try.
Sadly, I miscarried.
But if you don't have male factor issues, Clomid can work well without IUI.

We did 2 rounds of clomid "naturally" and nothing 
We just did our first IUI for our 3rd month.

I used Clomid last year after 3 rounds. Got pg then had a m/c it was a partial mloar pregnancy and the Clomid did not cause this or anything. Then this time around I did 1 round of 50 mg which did nothing for me. Then 1 month of 100 mg and BINGO....that was the winner!

My friend got PG on Clomid without IUI twice. The first time she got PG the first month - the second time she got PG with an ectopic the second month on Clomid and then was taking a month off after the surgery for the ectopic and got PG again.

My best friend got pg with clomid w/o IUI. I got pg with clomid and on our 2nd IUI. My doctor was aggressive and first suggested trying naturally, but then after surgery he said to try IUI.

I got pg with my daughter on my 3rd round of clomid 100mg. No IUI.
This time around I've not been successful. I've been off and on it for a year (and did get pg, but miscarried).

one of supervisors got pregnant twice after being on clomid and having an IUI and a freind if mine got PG on the rest cycle after taking clomid for 3 cycles
