Yankee Fans
also posted on NFR but wanted to share here as well!
My mom called me yesterday FLIPPING out! She and my dad are in Baltimore for the weekend for the Yankee Game...staying at the Marriot Renaissance hotel...and apparently that's where all the away teams stay when they are playing the Orioles. The cab driver told them that on the way there.
So my mom was waiting for the elevator and all these yankees come through! She said people were screaming and she turns around and there they are ... right beside her.
She saw Miguel Cairo, Johnny Damon and to her MAJOR excitement.....Mariano Rivera!!!
She didn't get autographs or pictures because there were signs saying that if anyone attempted they'd be ejected from the hotel....but she stood right next to Mariano and was going on and on about how wonderful he looked .... gentlemanly (I don't know how she can judge that from standing next to him), and graceful she called him.
This probably made her day and will keep her all excited for the next few months.
Just wanted to share!

Wow - that's awsome!
I stayed at the Ritz in Arlington a few weeks ago where the Mets stay when they're in town... And they were all so cool - signing autographs, taking pictures.
It was funny though - I'm pretty sure there were more Yankees fans in Baltimore this weekend than Orioles fans
