Follistim Price - w/no Insurance
Question for girls who's insurance does not cover infertilty injections.........
The pharmacy just called to tell me that since my Insurance does not cover the injections or any of the needles etc. that the price for one round of injections would be
$8,741.85 !!!
Is this the advarage price???
When I discussed IVF injections, they quoted me about $3000?? I thought those would be alot more??

what are you getting? I only know the price of ganerilix (`$100) eand and PIO ($40)
sometimes the dr office will order al ot, but if they know you are paying out of pocket, they will order what you need only

This is the breakdown they gave me:
8 Follistim injections
8 needles
8 saringes
1 hsg shot
1 pen (free)
She did say they have a shared program I can sign up with and it will only cost me $4,790.00??

That seems a little pricey. I got 3-600cc of Follistim and it came to about $2,400
Did your doctor give you this pharmacy or did you call on your own.

They like to use one in Brooklyn, but when I used them one time they told me they woulld deliver around 7pm and they did not come until after 9:30pm
I asked to use in long island because they are much closer to me. Maybe I will give the other pharmacy a call and ask for their pricing.
The injections were
8 injections of 300cc
I was prepared for the cost of IVF but not for these. My insurance covers IUI and Clomid only. It just took me by surprise. I feel at this point I may have to either give Clomid & IUIs a few more tries or just go right to IVF, if I'm going to spend all this money???
