IVF or in vitro fertilization is when you take drugs to stimulate your ovaries into making more eggs.
Then, the eggs are taken out with a needle through the vaginal wall (under anesthesia), and placed in a petri dish with the sperm to fertilize
A few days later you have the embryos (however many you and your dr agree on) transferred back into your uterus through a thin catheter in hopes that they implant.
