Tables -
I need a table for the end of my hallway to put a vase of silk flowers in and I was thinking a mirror above it as well...

2 or 4
2 would work best with a classical more formal furniture, heavier/more ornate picture frames, etc.
4 looks very shaker inspired, more relaxed and country furniture or more Pottery Barn look.
I would consider the other furniture, especially in the adjoining rooms in making my decision.
