Re: atkins induction
Yes, the first time I did it. Right around day 4 too. It's just your body detoxing. Make sure you're taking vitamins!

Re: atkins induction
That's pretty normal -- it's your body switching over to burning fat instead of carbs.

Re: atkins induction
Hi. I am thinking about starting induction again. I was on it last year, and I really liked how it made me feel after it was done.
Since Danielle and I got married in 2004, I have just been gaining weight like crazy. I am up to 197lb, thats the most I have ever been, and I feel gross. Thank god I hide it well.
I hate how I have been feeling. I am out of breath when I go upstairs in my house, and I cannot believe I feel that way.
Can everyone who is on Induction, post your menus so I can see what you are eating, it will really help me out a lot.
I know I am not allowed any fruit or snacks the first two weeks, It is going to be hard, but I am willing it try.
Thanks, Scott

Re: atkins induction
My hubby made a GREAT Atkins-friendly dinner tonight, skirt steak, he marinated and sauteed mushrooms and then melted fresh mozerella over the top, DELICIOUS!! and I had spinach on the side. I was soooo full!!

Atkins is healthy if it's done according to the book. Good luck!!

Re: atkins induction
I have yogurt or cheese for breakfast, chicken caesar salad or leftovers for lunch and some sort of meat for dinner with salad -- steak, chicken, tuna salad, pork chop, wings, omlette, etc. I am not a veggie eater but I have salad pretty much daily when I am on program.

On induction, you cannot have yogurt though, right?

I do. It's only 3 carbs plus the calcium is good for you.

The "true" way to do induction is NO DAIRY except the listed accepted cheeses, yogurt is not permitted until phase 2, I'm sure you'll still lose weight, but the glycemic interaction is somewhat compromised. Regardless, I LOVE ATKINS!!!! I have never felt better.
