stripes & plaids

whats the rule??

i bought for my RD a beautiful tube top from express in white w/ silver stripes and a silver metallic shrug sweater to go over it. (its on the maniquein @ express in bay terrace) the silver isnt over powering - it actually looks gray until you are looking @ the sweater.

so....i have these cool cropped pants in gray w/ a check desgin in a darker grey - but lining each of the checks is a faint silver metallic stitiching.

i only tried the outfit on once and FH said "yeah its cool" - but i dont trust him. is it ok to mix the stripes and the checker design?

that is completely fine

if u said u were wearing a big plaid shirt n striped pants id have to hurt ya, but
i saw the shirts and i dont think its really stripey at all!!!!!!!!
