spinoff of sorts - your mom vs your mil
who will put more pressure on you for a grandchild??
mu mil hands down. my mom has not mentioned it to me once, we are married for 3 months and my sister is pg so her first grandchild is on its way. regardless, my mom was never like that. she does not get involved in my sex life. work, school etc i can ask her/tell her anything.
thoughts?

My mom! my DH is divorced and already has two kids and he has a sister who has a son. So his mom is content!
I am one of two kids and the only girl - and my brother isn't married yet -
So my mom can't wait!

Neither has put pressure...but my FIL has already bought toys for the child I don't have yet.

my mother for sure. i'm the oldest and there are no grandkids and i'm 35. constantly getting the "so & so"'s daugher is pregnant, etc... not only her, getting it from other relatives too. starting to feel pressured which is why i'm on here now

Neither. I am lucky. I put more pressure on myself than either one of them could. My mother has 4 grandchildren - 2 girls and 2 boys. She would love another but says nothing. As for my MIL, we will be giving her her first grandchild but she is smart and knows that talking about it isnt going to make it happen any faster,

i should clarify, by "pressure" i don't mean they are on top of you 24/7 telling you to poas to see if you are pg. with my mil its more the comments and she'll tell people "oh, by next year they will have kids." really?? news to me. so of course she does not know that we are trying bc then it would get worse.

Both have been pretty good
But the MIL has been dropping the hints more

BOTH!!!
Ours will be my MIL's first so she is SO excited. She will be so happy when we get pregnant, I actually can't wait till it happens to see the look on her face We already have a certificate from her she gave us on the wedding offering free babysitting services anytime (for the kids we don't have )
For my mom, I am the only girl and for her that holds some sort of importance. She already told my brother my kids get first priority when it comes to her babysitting services
Neither really pressure us, we just know how excited they are for our kids!!!
