Posh & Becks son has Epilepsy
Posh Beckham has revealed that her young son, Romeo, suffers from epilepsy and will go into seizures by the flashes from photographers. Just last week, Romeo was forced to cover his eyes while going through the airport so a seizure would not be triggered. She told photographers, “Leave him alone. He’s got epilepsy. All that flashing will start an epileptic fit. You can’t do that.”
He is currently seeking treatment. I originally thought she was lying to keep the paps off of her, but flashes from cameras can easily trigger seizures. Poor Romeo, perhaps Posh should lend him some of her gigantic sunglasses.

It's sad, but it's really well controlled with meds. My cousin has it; my poor grandma witnessed him have a seizure, out of nowhere at 18. It just came on.
At least they have all the $$$ in the world to handle it the best way possible. As for the paparazzi, it sounds horrible to say, but they don't seem to respect anyone...but I hope they lay off!

I hope the photographers respect her request to keep the flashes off.  What a sh1tty thing to do to a kid.

I have had students with epilepsy and yes flashing images can and do induce seizures. Video games and fast-edited films/videos are often the culprits. It is very frightening to see.

This broke my heart when I heard. Something like this you would want to keep private, but she had no choice but to announce it like that for the safety of her child.

Poor kid. Epilepsy must be scary when you have no idea what is happening at such a young age. Regardless of whether he has epilepsy or not, I imagine the flahes are scary for a young kid.
If you think about it, these are the real reasons we don't see the Shilohs & Suris of celebdom

I totally agree. Poor kid...it's awful that she had to blurt out something so private, to the public.
