Retrieval was today...
if you can call it that.  
First, thanks to all the well wishes and support I got from all you wonderful girls as I journeyed through Cycle 1. 
There were NO eggs. Follicles, but no eggs. Apparently, when I didn't respond well to that nasal spray hormone doo-hickey thing, I ovulated (or didn't ovulate or WHATEVER) and so, cycle 1 down, cycle 2 here I come. 
Dr. Zhang told me not to give up, and put me on birth control pills 1 a day for 10 days before I start the next cycle to better prepare my ovaries. Next round we won't use the nasal spray but a direct shot.
I'm disappointed, but not devastated. The whole retrieval process itself was far less uncomfortable than I thought it would be, and valium? NICE!

so sorry it didn't work this time. i'm glad you are so positive, it's very easy to give up.
if you don't mind me asking, what is the difference with a mini ivf and will you be going for a full ivf this time?
whatever the course is, i will pray this will be it!!

I am sorry it was unsuccessful, you must be devestated. I hope they are giving you some sort of discount since it sounds like they messed up by not monitoring you close enough.
I know someone who did mini IVF, can I ask how you came to that decision for yourself? Did you consider regular IVF?
And PS- The trigger shot is sooo easy- dont worry about that at all.

Ohhhh...I am so sorry that happened. I can't beleive they didn't catch that. Thankfully, you have lot's of follies so if they stick to the trigger shot you should be okay.
Your positive attitude is great and should carry you right through Cycle 2.

Don't mind the question at all.
I knew as much about mini-IFV as I did "full" IVF. I was dead set against IVF to begin with because of stories I'd heard about adverse reactions to the hormones/meds, etc. A friend recommended New Hope Fertility and this method seemed to make sense to me, especially since I'm "older". Since I was initially fearful of IVF because of all the meds involved in the protocol, the mini method appealed to me.
