Notes: We URGENTLY need a foster home for Twiggy.

Lovely Twiggy, a one-year-old small American Staffordshire Terrier / Bulldog mix female is in a kill shelter. It saddens us greatly to know that Twiggy has 48 hours to live. We want to pull Twiggy out of the shelter and bring her in to our adoption program. In order for us to be able to rescue her from the shelter, we have to have a foster home available to take her while we find a permanent home for her. Twiggy is the sweetest little girl, great with children and all human people--just not other animals. She is sweet and gentle and loves playtime. Twiggy's size (approx 35 lbs) would make her a great apartment dog. She has been at a shelter for a long time now, and while she has maintained her wonderful little personality, the shelter has no space for her and will euthanize her. She is the shelter volunteers' favorite, and our rescue group appeals to those big hearts out there, in case you are able to foster her and we can pull her out. We hope you'll consider fostering Twiggy and give this little girl her second chance at life! Please call Marta at 646 724 0597 ASAP if you can foster Twiggy!

Why do you assume I meant anything negative by it? I was just clarifying that it was a type of pitbull. Others may want to know.

And...of course every animal deserves to live a wonderful life.

I think he was taken to a no kill shelter now. Still looking for a home though
