Infertility and insurance coverage?
I am lucky in that my insurance (from what I've read in my book) pretty much covers almost all infertility treatments (when certain criteria is met). Even though I am in FL my policy is based on NJ infertility law which states one of the qualifications of infertility as "the inablility to get pregnant after 2 years of unprotected sex (under the age of 35)". My Ins. Co. says they don't need any proof of that, they just take your word for it. I'm not sure if I believe that. Has anyone encountered this? I just want to know so that if I need to get documents or proof from my past Drs (I've used doctors in 3 different states over the past 2 years) I can get started.

Re: Infertility and insurance coverage?
Usually your current Dr's claim that you have IF issues is enough...

Re: Infertility and insurance coverage?
I would still ask all your Dr's for a copy of your records. I have a medical release form i can e-mail you if you want FM me. I know when I first started my journey I didn't ask for copies, now I have all my blood work and records. This also helps if you want to do your own research which I highly recommend.
