CIO Moms
My baby does not sleep.
Petrified of the nursery.
We are at this moment attempting to let him CIO*. (I know it's not technically bedtime. But DH is hmoe today and baby hasn't slept all day.) I'm in agony.
ETA: *As per doctor's orders.

How old is DC?
I let Ava CIO for naps, as well. It took a couple of weeks for her to get the hang of the fact that she needed to cry a little to go to sleep. It really worked for us, but doesn't work for every baby, all of the time. All I can suggest is trying it and really sticking to it for a while.

Thank you. I just need some support.
He's almost 6 months.
He was sick for a while and he's teething, so we 'spoiled' him I guess you could say. I literally want to throw up right now. I Cannot take it.

My baby is almost 1 years old! and we do CIO for naps everyday. He usually cries for anywhere from 4-6 minutes before falling asleep. We have been doing CIO for 6 months, and most nights he still cries for a few minutes. Its totally worth it. The key for me is to disassociate yourself from the crying and keep your eyes on the clock...You do have to monitor what kind of cry your baby is in at the minute (I don't let Noah get hysterical...I give it 10 minutes, if he doesn't fall asleep within 10 minutes...he comes back downstairs)
Just tell yourself this...this baby is not wet, not hungry, not in any danger. This baby is safe. That helps me a lot when I am doing it, also my husband is very supportive of CIO so the whole thing was easier because he was there to help me.

I just let him cry for one hour and now we picked him up. I don't know what to do. I fear the night.

No no no, thats just how long he cries for now. In the beginning he cried for longer...for us it was about 30 minutes...however I was expecting longer! Its up to you how long you want him to cry for. I suggest you get a book to help you with this! Its very very difficult!

We've been doing extensive research. Problem is everyone has a different opinion. (Friends, family, doctor and fellow posters all included as well as the 'experts.')
Just needed some support. I know I don't know everyone here but I was hoping the BTDT Mom's could commiserate.
