I got mine when I was 10 weeks PG. It worked from then on. They say anywhere from 10-12 weeks. Sometimes earlier. I loved it. It gave me the reassurance that I needed at the time! Good luck!

I ordered mine the night I heard the heartbeat in the Dr.'s office for the 1st time...so I would say 12 weeks..

I was just thinking of renting one today !! I am 9 weeks but I figured by the time I get it, I would be able to hear a hearbeat 
For those who got it, where did you rent it from?

I got mine from Babybeat.com
I love mine - my husband loves to play with it too LOL. All I ever hear is giggles from the bedroom whenever I leave it out..........

I rented mine from babybeat.com also. If you look in American Baby magazine, they used to have a code for 15-20% off monthly rental
ETA: I heard the heartbeat at 9 weeks.

I rented mine at 12 weeks and still have it. I am now 24 weeks. I love it and so much fun to do with DH. We find it as such a bonding experience. We rented ours from BabyBeats.com
