To anybody who is ABA trained.......

How did you go about it? My master's program (CITE) doesn't offer anything at this point for me. I know a lot of agencies/schools offer training as well..... I am looking to find a job soon and it would probably be helpful to me. I know many agencies/schools find it helpful although not always necessary.


Any advice on how to go about this?

I got my training from an agency. I would love to take it again if I can. I will let you know if anyone offers it

I was going to post the same thing....does Boces offer it? Can you be ABA trained from somewhere even if you don't work there?

if you are interested in aba training, you could try calling one of the schools on LI that use ABA in their classrooms. they may offer training sessions. off the top of my head, you could also try www.elija.org. they usually have info on conferences and such. i got my training from DDI initially, then went on to get my masters in special ed at cw post(they had a special program catered to teachers who wanted specialization in autism.) i got my masters while I worked at a school for children with autism. i have to say i got the best ABA training at this school and now i work for an agency part time.

I was trained at DDI in Smithtown-I worked there though. Call them and ask-maybe they have workshops or some advice for you.
