How do you wash your down jacket??
i put my down jacket in the washer let it air dry and now it smells funny. my SIL said it could be the feathers. i paid $200 for this jacket and i'm really annoyed! i followed the care directions exactly. has this happened to anyone else before?

The feathers can smell a little funny. You can put it in the dryer on a low setting with a sheet of bounce (or spritz it with febreeze) and that should make it better.

I turn it inside out and put it in the wash by itself. Then when I put it in the dryer I put a rubber ball in with it. (It fluffs up the feathers)

after you wash it you can put it in the dryer with a clean tennis ball.

i did put it in the dryer with a dryer sheet and it still smells and there is hardly any feathers in the left arm 
my friend said i should have put a ball or a sneaker in it to fluff it! oh well
