Eyebrow threading - Question

I just made an appt. for eyebrow threading tonight after work. I usually get them waxed, but I really want to try threading.

Is there anything I should prepare myself for?

Will my eye area be really red, or not as red as waxing?

How much does it cost, on average? I didn't even think to ask when I made the appt.

Re: Eyebrow threading - Question

It's a longer process than waxing, and is mildly uncomfortable. Whereas waxing is painful, but is over with quickly. IMO, the pain is equal.

I was less red after threading, so that was a plus.

I paid the same as waxing, $12-$15 I tihnk when I went.

I just get tweezed now, couldn't take the pain and irritation of waxing/threading anymore and it was ruining my skin.

Threading is just as bad for your skin as waxing? I thought it was supposed to be better actually.

Hopefully I'll like it. I've never been to this place before.

Threading is not as quick but I like it better. I pay $7.

Re: Eyebrow threading - Question

It takes about 5 minutes for them to thread my eyebrows. It's a little more uncomfortable then threading, but the results I think are better and it lasts longer.

My place charges $7

Re: Eyebrow threading - Question

I went after work and it was quicker than I thought. Maybe 5 minutes. It hurts a little more than waxing, but only because it takes longer.

I think she did a good job. She was quick, it came out nice, and it was only $6.00.

And it feels so much cleaner than waxing. With waxing, I started to get skeeved every time she dipped the same stick back in the pot of wax, and the blew on the wax to cool it down. Chat Icon

Thanks for the tips!

This is why I switched. My friend got a staff infection and was in the hospital because of the wax from the nail salon. Chat Icon

No, I didn't go back and try threading again b/c the process was annoying to me. It's not bad for your skin, I don't think.
