Getting rid of masters plus credits?
Someone told me today that they are getting rid of the option to take more classes after your masters to increase your salary. Is this true? If so theres no way we would able to afford living here!

Re: Getting rid of masters plus credits?
This is a district by district policy, so I don't see how a "they" is involved overall. I'd say the person who told you this doesn't know what s/he is talking about.

Re: Getting rid of masters plus credits?
plus each district would have to work this into their contracts as each district's contracts were up... it would be nearly impossible to just make this change as of a certain date...

Re: Getting rid of masters plus credits?
I'm not sure if I am correct on this, but if you hear this may be going on in your district, I would get your credits not. Because I dont think (I am not 100% positive though) that they can take these away from people. Like someone with 20 years and masters plus 75 could not go down to just 20 years.

This is true. This is a CONTRACTUAL issue within each district. When contracts are negotiated, this may be an issue that comes up. (As far as class approval, max per year, number of columns etc)
