So I ran 10 miles Saturday....but
my shins are hurting...this is a new pain.
Any suggestions on what I can do?? I don't want to miss the 15K this weekend.

I would take some prescription streght ibuprofen (800mg), it will help not only with the pain but also the inflammation in the area. I would take it at least 2x a day even if your not in pain until the weekend.

the best remedy for shin splints is ice. you should fill up dixie cups with water and freeze them and then massage the ice over the area for 10 minutes.
or fill up a bucket with ice and water and sit with legs under water for 10 minutes. (this way is much more uncomfortable)
