What does it mean when...
...the OPK lines are really really faint, but they are the same color?
Meaning both lines are there and identical in color, but both the Control and the Test line are much fainter than they usually are.
I used two sticks (same urine sample) to test since the first one was sooo light, but I got the same result.
Does it mean I've gotten my surge or not??
TIA!

Hmmm....good question. How long did you wait before reading the result? Maybe you did not wait long enough? As far as I know, as long as it's the same color or darker than the control, it's positive. I'd BD just incase! GL, and baby dust to you!

I think what matters is that the test line is the same or darker than the control line.... even if the color is faint.

Re: What does it mean when...
I waited the full 5 minutes then looked again after a couple more had passed.
I reduced my liquid intake so it shouldn't be diluted either.
I don't understand.
But you're right, I should BD tonight just in case and see what tomorrow's says.
Why oh why can't we just have some kind of clear sign??
Like when you are ovulating a tiny egg logo appears on your hip or something??? And when you are pregnant a tiny baby shows up there??

I've always said this! If only our urine turned blue when we were pg, and green when we were Oing!

Re: What does it mean when...
They are the Answer 20 day test for people with long cycles. Not cheapies, but not really really good ones either.
They were very clear last month when I used them and yesterday's looked okay (dark control line and faint test line).
I have no idea....

I don't know Lauren, I would be inclined to say your urine was more diluted...especially since they worked for you last month. Have the expired maybe?

Re: What does it mean when...
Thanks girls. When I got home that night the lines were darker, but the control was a lot darker than the test line.
Yesterday was the same issue, so I think I got a bad bunch of OPKs.
We BD just in case, so we're covered!!

That happened to me last cycle with the Answer OPKs.. I also got 2 identical light lines...
I BD'd- but I certainly did NOT ovulate then since my cycle was 51 days and the positive OPK with the faint lines came on CD 25.
The 51 day cycle was probably annovulatory. edited to say I know it was annovulatory b/c my temps never jumped.
The previous cycle I had better results getting dark lines with First Response.. my Answer lines were NEVER dark.
I got POd with them all and bought the saliva microscope- so we'll see how that works.
