resorts dress codes?
I can't seem to find it on the resorts website. But in general I know for the resaurants men wear dress pants and a nice shirt, but do they need to wear shoes or can they wear flip flops?

Re: resorts dress codes?
It depends on the restaurant at the resorts...usually they have one or two that you have to be more dressed for and I would probably say no flip flops for men and then they have more casual restaurants where you can definitely wear flip flops and even shorts.
Usually the websites say it when they list their restaurants.

Re: resorts dress codes?
I was just looking at the dress codes for a resort that we are staying at.
And for the *nicer* restaurants-- men need to wear lke a button down and pants with closed toe shoes. Anything goes for women as long as they are appropriate.
I do find-- that when we try to dress for a dress code-- there are ALWAYS people who are really under-dressed and I get annoyed that I took the time to pack clothes that I thought were appropriate when other people clearly did not. So, just use your judgement as to what you feel is appropriate to wear.

Re: resorts dress codes?
I've always heard closed toed shoes for men, no shorts, no sports shirts. ETA: For nicer restaurants--anywhere we've gone have had casual options.

Re: resorts dress codes?
I did not see anything on the Rui website.
We don't mind dressing nice, but wondered if my DH could get away with nice pants and shirt, but flip flops.

honestly-- I think he would be ok. As long as the rest of his outfit is appropriate. As stated in my original post-- there will be men there in golf shirts tucked into too short khakis with white socks and white sneakers.
Just use your discretion.
