Do Gap stores have shoes at the store, or are they just available online?

It depends on the store. They will all carry shoes but the bigger ones will have a better selection.

I just bought flats from their website and they are so amazingly uncomfortable. I would definitely recommmend seeing them in person and trying them on....

Which ones? The fitted, or the regular? What about it was uncomfortable? The toe, the heel?

Regular. I bought my size (8) and I got blisters in the back (that happens with other shoes sometimes too), so I bent the back down and then I got blisters on the outside and inside of the sides of my feet below the toes.
But I did commute in them -- 10-15 minute walk from Penn to work. Maybe I should have broken them in more slowly...
