Seriously I have said this all season long that As much as I would love to see my Mets in the playoffs or the World Series, they would get killed in the playoffs. There is no way we would survive it with our bullpen...absolutely no way...
We have weak closers! Can you imagine any game 7 in the playoffs where you need a good closer to come in and save the game and Looper comes in?????????????????????? I would have to do something violent like throw my tv out the window...

Listen real closely. ANY team (and I mean ANY team) that makes the playoffs has a chance to win.
The Playoffs are not about having the BEST team. Its about having the HOTTEST team. ESPECIALLY when it comes to pitching.
How the hell do you think the last couple of World Series have been won by teams like Arizona, Florida, and Anaheim? None of those teams were TOP NOTCH teams. Hell even Boston was a WC team not expected to win the World Series.
All those teams got HOT at the right time... with very AVERAGE pitching. Can you even name me the CLOSER that Anaheim, Florida, and Arizona used during those championship years? Probably not cause they weren't ALL-STARS.
The goal is to just make the playoffs... and hope your team gets hot at the right time.
Oh yeah i'd really feel confident with Looper coming in the playoffs and saving a game...

Looper has saved some games too, it's just that you don't know know which way it's going to go with him...you will always panick when he comes in a game.
I feel like benitez never left us...

Looper has saved some games too, it's just that you don't know know which way it's going to go with him...you will always panick when he comes in a game.
I feel like benitez never left us...
He can't save a big game - Benitez all over again!

Just wanted to point a couple of things out. And please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on who the closers of these teams were but...
Wasn't Looper the closer for the Marlins? I can understand why Mets fans are nervous about him in a tight game- like a 1 run game because he does have a high era for a closer right now. But he is a WS champion so he may come through in a tight spot.
Kim was an awful closer. SP is what won for Arizona.
Percival was the closer for Anaheim and for the record he is a 3 time all-star. He also was a pretty damn good closer before this year.

I agree, he has blown a lot of important saves.
