When did you take the bumper out?
DS has been grabbing at it for a while and tonight he was able to pull a section off from the crib (cant tie it that tight due to the material)
So tonight, I took them off~
The crib looks so empty without it

Re: When did you take the bumper out?
You may want to look for something called a "breathable bumper." The "One Step Ahead" catalog may have had it. If not, I'm sure you can find it online. It's a mesh material that weaves in and out of the bars tightly. It serves the purpose of a regular bumper...can't get legs stuck or lose binkies, but could never be pulled off. The crib won't look so bare too.

We got the breathable bumper form Babiesrus.com. It velcros on. Kaitee still throws her paci out but her legs don't stick out. and if she steps on it then is collapses so she can't use it as a step to get out.

Never had his bumper in that went with his set. I only use and will only use the Breathable Bumper.

Re: When did you take the bumper out?
5 months, because they were inching their way into the corners.

Re: When did you take the bumper out?
We still have it in at 10 months. She moves around a lot at night and bumps her little head. She doesn't use it to step on, though.

Re: When did you take the bumper out?
Marron is 2 weeks shy of a year old and she still has her bumpers. I often go in and see her lying against them and I would hate to think of her being pressed up against the wood crib. She got her leg stuck in the slats when she was really little and that was enough for me. She has yet to try to climb on them even though she is walking already.
ETA: she does pull them back though to look at the floor, especially when we play peek-a-boo!

Same here. Once I found her face pressed up against it, they came out immediately.

We still have ours in. I think she'll bang her head without it.

Re: When did you take the bumper out?
My son's were in his crib until he moved to his own bed at 22 months old.
My daughter's are still in. She is almost a year old. I have no plans on taking them out just yet.

Re: When did you take the bumper out?
DS is almost 6mths old and I still have mine. He too is at that age where whe wants to grab everything, I catch him playing with the string ties.
Maybe you can try attaching velcro since you cant tie it?
