Re: Pork Chop Recipes

I would do a search on pork chops- I know there's at least 1 other thread on them on the recipes board...

I just use shake and bake... they never get dried out and they taste yummy...and they couldn't be easier.

Here are my favorites that I rotate ...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BBQ PORK CHOPS (Men's Health Magazine)
Servings: 2 people
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup instant brown rice, uncooked
1/2 cup frozen mixed vegetable
2 center-cut pork chops, 1-1/4 inches thick
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/4 cup bottled barbecue sauce
1 cup applesauce
Cook the brown rice according to directions, adding the vegetables as it cooks.
Place the pork chops in a broiler pan. Mix together the garlic powder, mustard, brown sugar, and barbecue sauce, and brush the mixture on the chops. Put the broiler pan on the top oven rack, 4 to 5 inches from the heat source, and broil for 8 to 10 minutes per side.
Serve with the rice, vegetables, and applesauce.
Re: Pork Chop Recipes
heres our favorite- balsalmic-thyme pork chops- sooo quick and easy Chat Icon
pre heat a frying pan to medium-high heat with some olive oil in it...
rub some balsalmic vinegar on the pork chops. put the pork chops in the pan for 5 minutes.
while they cook, break off a bunch of fresh thyme leaves.
when the 5 minutes is up, flip the pork chops over, put the thyme leaves on them and then cook for another 6 mniutes. ( you probably want to put some foil over the pan for these few minutes, to keep oil from splattering and to concentrate the thyme flavor)
so, there ya go! 11 minutes and 4 ingredients Chat Icon doesn't get much easier Chat Icon
