Question for the Islander fans...

Do you think the way the fans acted last nite was in poor taste? I'm a long time diehard fan, but am embarrassed when fans do stuff that's out of line like throwing food and beer on the ice.

I mean, I know your pizzed that the refs didn't make a call in our favor, but is that any reason to act out?

I am a huge Islander fan and I know some people take these games way too seriously, but I think its immature and stupid to do things like that. Its poor sportsmanship, childish, and someone could get hurt.

I agree. I think it shows no class and shows no sportsmanship.

I was embarrassed that people couldn't shut up for 1 minute for the Virginia Tech moment of silence....seriously, they continued their LETS GO ISLANDERS chants throughout the whole thing.

Pathetic!

That's not true. One person made a short outburst at the end that I can't type here, but that was it. There was a moment of silence.

On the original topic, yes the garbage throwers were out of control.

Re: Question for the Islander fans...

I just got home from the game tonight. Again tonight, the bottles were flying and people were getting thrown out left and right. There were two fights right around me and DH. I feel so bad for the kids that are at these games. Its so unfair to them, and pretty much anyone who isnt a savage.
