Burglar-proof doggy door?

I am pregnant and due in a month. I know my dog is going to drive me nuts wanting to go outside when I have my baby. I want to get a doggy door, but I want a really high quality one - one that I don't have to worry about being home alone with a baby inside. We have a Yorkie who is 8 lbs, so I don't need anything big, but I just want one that is anti-burglar if it exists.

Any suggestions? TIA!!!

I know they sell ones where your dog wears a collar and the door works electronically to only let the dog with the collar on otherwise it won't budge. That's all I really know about it but I am sure if you did a google on it you could find more info. Good luck!

most doggy doors come with a bar you can put across the flap to allow it to be closed.

I don't have a doggy door but if I did I would get something like THIS

The only way the door opens is if the dog is wearing the collar and you have it set so that he/she can leave the house. It has options like: "enter/but don't leave," "leave/but don't enter," "go in/go out," or "locked."

is your dog going to be able to open the door? I had a doggie door for my bulldog and my yorkie couldnt open it. Plus she was too scared she just ran away or wait for him to open it and jump through with him.
