Epcot question

I noticed that on disneys website that "Future World" opens about 2 hours before the rest of the park and also closes earlier. Anyone know why? What rides can be found in that area of the park?

I don't know why the two sides of the park closes at different times. Most of the big rides are in Future World (Test Track, Soarin', Mission Space, etc) but those rides are generally left open until 9 when the whole park shuts down.

All the rides except for Malestrom and the boat ride in mexico are in future world. I think spaceship earth and test track and mission space stay open later but the rest closes down earlier.

I think they do this b.c world showcase is mostly just walking around the countries and a lot of world showcase focus are the restaurants. So most people go to that area at night to eat and shop.

they have the illuminations show everynight along the world showcase "lake"... maybe that has something to do with it?? maybe they close future world earlier so that people will head over to world showcase for the show???

Whats Malestrom? Isn't there a ride in Norway as well?
