Elliptical...Treadmill?
Ok, I am jumping back on the bandwagon of dieting. I really have let myself go and I am almost to the point of depression.
I work 55+ hours a week and getting to the gym just isn't in the stars for me.
I am trying to convince DH into buying either a treadmill or elliptical. I'd prefer an elliptical but beggers can't be choosers, right?
So, which exercise machine do you have? Where did you buy it? How much was it? Do you use it everyday? Do you feel it has aided in weight loss?

I down own either one, but I've used the Precore elliptical machine and gotten good results. Treadmills are just not for me.

An elliptical will burn more calories (I believe).
If you want to walk/run I would just do that around the neighborhood.

I prefer the treadmill...im a runner so I like to always have the option to run...however i use the elliptical as low impact cardio on off running days...sorry im no help!

I prefer an elliptical. We have both in our house & I feel I get more out of the ellpitical. We purchased it at Sears for $500. It does aide in weight loss as I did it prior to our wedding.
When it is nice outside, I do my run/walk out there & then come home & do 15 minutes on the ellptical

Pick the machine you will enjoy the most!
Any aerobic activity (bike, stairs, elliptical, treadmill) will burn calories, however the key is to do it at a high enough intensity to challenge your body most efficiently.
You can walk 4 miles or run 4 miles and burn about the same calories, but it will take you longer to walk it.
