Re: Does your DH snore?
DH snored so bad when we first started living together he would get up after I hade "nudged" him 100 times and sleep in the spare room. We took turns sleeping in there until his sleep study. I had noticed when we first started spending the night together he would stop breathing in his sleep. We waited 3months for his sleep study appointment. Low and behold he has sleep apnea, and he is overweight!!!! C-PAP is a LIFE SAVER in more ways then 1. We can now sleep together and cuddle!!! It is awsome. The c-pap makes a swooshing sound so I sleep with ear plugs in, but compared to the snoring it's nothing. Hoever, C-PAP broke 1wk ago and we are again sleeping apart He goes next week for a new mask.

Re: Does your DH snore?
My DH snores pretty badly...not only that, I have NEVER, EVER seen someone who is able to fall asleep as quickly as he does. No joke...he'll turn out the light and I'll hear his first snore about 60 seconds later! It's infuriating!!!
Luckily, I figured out a trick early on in our marriage, and it has worked (thankfully). We keep a small fan on across the room (facing the wall, unless it's hot in the room) AND I have one of those water fountains on my bedside table. The constant white noise allows me to sleep, and I only rarely wake up from the snoring anymore.

Re: Does your DH snore?
DH had sleep apnea. He was so loud you could hear him from outside! He went for a sleep study and we found out how serious it was. One day I looked in his mouth and realized he only had an opening the size of my thumb nail in the back of his throat. He had surgery to remove his tonsils, uvula, and a small portion of his soft palate. He does not snore anymore. Now he grinds his teeth though

Re: Does your DH snore?
MY DH snores and makes weird breathing noises. It was really bad when we first started living together - it was all allergy related and boy did it ever annoy me!. We finally went to see a doctor and he needed 2 separate surgeries to clear the polyps out of his nasal passages - that's how bad he was! I'd say for almost a year it was so nice to hear him breathe during the day and get a nice quiet nights sleep at night. However, the polyps are starting to return again and the noise and snoring are returning. But we knew this would happen and he will probably need to have his nose and sinuses cleared every 2 years. We sleep with an air purifier, mattress and pillow case covers and during the winter we have to have a humidifier on for him.
I hope your DH does well with the air purifier.

Re: Does your DH snore?
Oh yeah! SO loudly, too. Usually I'll tap him and go "babe, you're snoring. stop." and he does...for a little while at least.

Re: Does your DH snore?
Funny story - I always tell my DH to roll over while nudging him while he sleeps....so all night, it used to be "BABE, roll over, your snoring"
One night he woke up out of a deep sleep when I told him to roll over and said "why don't you roll over for once, you are always telling me to roll over"
I was cracking up like thinking to myself ...how is ME rolling over gonna stop YOU from snoring....
still get a kick out of that story when I think of it

My Dh has sleep apnea too, and THANK GOD for that machine!!!!!!! Granted, it did take a bit getting used to as it does make noise. I told DH it's like sleeping with Darth Vader! Ear plugs do the trick, and we're both very happy.

Re: Does your DH snore?
Yes, my DH snores. It's not extremely loud, but it is annoying! I do need to fall asleep first and then if I wake up for any reason in the night, I hear him snoring and can't fall back asleep. Only once in a while will it be so loud that it actually wakes me up. To get him to stop, I shove or kick him and say 'You're snoring!' and he is conditioned to automatically roll over. that usually works.

Re: Does your DH snore?
My DH doesn't snore every night and when he does it's usually not loud enough to wake me up. BUT...if he falls asleep first and starts to snore then it keeps me up.
