Technical Support Engineer

Melville, NY-based Chyron Corporation, a leading provider of broadcast graphics hardware, software and associated services to the television industry currently has an opening for a Technical Support Engineer.

The Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support to a variety of Chyron products over the telephone. The ideal candidate must have excellent customer service and troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

Educational: BS degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Experience: The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability to creatively diagnose and solve complex problems involving software, end users and hardware. He/she will identify and document product issues, enhancements, and requests in the appropriate tracking system.

Knowlege/experience working with Windows XP, 2000 and NT operating systems and computer hardware
Familiarity with Windows Vista
Able to use troubleshooting tools
Networking skills
Knowledge/experience of Microsoft Office and knowledge of Photoshop is a plus
Willing to travel
Ability to speak multiple languages a plus
Video experience a plus
Able to work flexible hours
