Anyone that has PCOS and sees Dr. Braverman...
Is Metformin his standard form of treatment? Would he be willing to prescribe Clomid alone instead of starting with Metformin? I'm supposed to see him this weekend for my CD3 bloodwork and sonogram to confirm his diagnosis of PCOS. He mentioned starting with Metformin and then Clomid the next cycle. I have issues with taking Metformin and b/c recent bloodwork from another doc was completely normal (insulin levels, hormone levels, etc) I'm thinking that I might just need the Clomid to ovulate earlier in my cycle then I have been. My friend sees him and told me that he might not prescribe Clomid without Metformin if there's a PCOS diagnosis.
Does anyone know?

My friend is an internist and sent me this article. It is the most recent information about clomid and metformin.
You should consider seeing someone who specializes in PCOS in Infertility. Who knows if all your labs are normal, maybe you dont even have pcos..

Im just on clomid and not metformin.. but Im not seeing that partcular dr.
