Day care questions
I need to know a good price for daycare. in your opinion how much would i pay for daycare a month if i need it 7 days a week? when is the child old enough to be left with a sitter?

what do you do for a living??
The prices I have gotten so far range from 950-1200.00 a month for 5days at a day care facility _ not sure on a individual

sorry i was thinking wrong i did mean 5 days...lol I work as an administrative assistant 7 days a week and i work from 8a to 4:30p and my boyfriend works from 1pm to 10. if he was to drop the baby off around 12 and i pick him up at 5 would that be very expensive in your opinion?

You would probably pay the same price as going full time since most daycares don't have a part time price.

I wanted to do somthing a bit similar I only wanted to put the baby in for 2-3 days when its an infint most places make you pay for the full 5 days becuase they designate the crib for your child so you have to pay for the whole time and can either use it or not
I can under stand the safty in it but I would not pay for 5 when I will only need 2-3days...

wow i hope that i could find something that maybe lets u pay by the day and i want to get my money's worth. It seems like the only people that make arrangments that i can deal with is private sitters but a child of mine so young i would want professionals. Wen is a good age to start daycare?

you'll get lots of different answers to that question. IMO, i think it's fine to start babies at 12 weeks at a daycare center, but others feel differently. My DD began at 6 months, which worked out great for us. Our center (in NJ) offers discounts for partial weeks, but not partial days. They're open from 7:15 am to 6:15 pm, and you can leave the baby there all or part of the day, but you still pay for the whole day. Other places work differently though.
When deciding private sitter vs. center, there are many issues to consider. There are private sitters who are very experienced & professional. Both have their advantages & disadvantages. Good luck!
ETA: fees at my center for infants per month, there is also a $100 nonrefundable deposit every year, and discounts for siblings (again, in NJ):
5 days: $1195
4 days: $ 990
3 days: $845
2 days: $685
we started to look at centers when i was pregnant and found places that were both more expensive & less. but we fell in love with this place, so we put down a deposit when dd was born to reserve a spot for 6 months later.

Im worried that i cant afford that i only make about 1400 a month and rent is about 470 and car payment 215 plus other monthly expenses. How do u guys do it. I couldnt afford to take of work so much. what do u suggest that i do.

U may think this is weird but my baby isnt born yet. i have a long ways to go but im the type of person to find out all information ahead of time. i hate surprises and dont want to be stuck finding a sitter a month or so before the baby is ready to go. Im trying to budget how much raising this baby will cost me. any other suggestions you may have for me. This is my first child so alll advice is excepted.

There are pros and cons to both sitters and daycare so researching the right person or place is the key here. Daycare centers typically will not allow you to pay for half days, so it would be full price. We used a home daycare part-time and paid $7 an hour. I'll FM you the number and name and if it's close to you, then you can check it out.
You are right to do your research now. The earlier the better!

I think im doing better. around that time i was just starting my job had just got a new car and had alot on my mind was very stressed out i've learned to take it easy and just relax and stop worrying so much.
