NYC DOE - HELP!!
I had a commitment letter and have been placed for September.
Now what do I do? Do i need to fill out all of the HR paper work now? Do I send it to the school or Directly to the DOE?
How do I get that tax free card?
Do I register with the Union...I am so confused!?!?!
HELP!!

Re: NYC DOE - HELP!!
You need to wait until you get placed with a school to get the tax exempt card and union representation. But, if I were in your position I would be sending my resume to schools I like.

Re: NYC DOE - HELP!!
i had a committment letter too.
After I got my job, I had to get a letter from the principal on letter head stating that I had a mathematics position for September.
I had to fax it to my case manager in Brooklyn.
My case manager told me all I do now is wait for the payroll secretary at the school to give me anything else I may need.

Re: NYC DOE - HELP!!
Since I am as lost as you..I am taking all of my paperwork to the DOE tomorrow... and asking them in person what I should do. If I were you, I would do the same thing. And make copies of everything.
