Does anyone teach...
classes for teachers?
I am doing my fourth one this fall and wondered how many others teach IS/Grad classes.

I haven't. But when I was interviewing my principal asked if I would be intersted in doing it on technology and smartboards. Of course I said I would!
Do you usually get paid for these?

Depending on the type of class, you could get paid. If it is an inservice class you are teaching, then you could get extra inservice credit which you may be able to apply to your MA + credits.

Yes, you do get paid and/or discounted class rates. If it is PD within the school, I am not sure how you'd be compensated. That would be up to the district. (Ive done PD for my SD, as well as one it for outside districts, and it was more "voluntary". )

I teach a New Teacher Workshop each year, and I've been asked to teach several other courses on testing mods as well...

i would like to get more involved in this in my dsitrcit this year.... we have the option to teach in-service and run collegial circles for credit.
