? for those delivering at St. Charles
Do the fathers-to-be have to take a lamaze class in order to be in the delivery room?
A friend of mine said that her husband had to go into the hospital with a certificate stating that he completed lamaze classes.

I never heard of that. If you choose not to take lamaze it doesn't matter. There are many different ways to birth a baby, lamaze only being one of them. I can't say definately, but I had a c-section there and no one asked. We didn't take any baby classes.

I don't know for sure, but my sister delivered 2 babies there and I know for a fact that they did not take lamaze. She had scheduled c-sections though so I don't know if that makes a difference.

That seems really strange to me.
Man, if they require that fathers-to-be take lamaze to be in the delivery room, what about the moms???
Would they keep you out of the delivery room and make you keep your baby inside if you didn't take a lamaze class????
