Re: Alli Diet Pill
I forgot the U in TRAUMA!
It worries me when I hear women who just had a baby who are taking pills in order to lose weight as fast as they can. Your body just went through some major trauma and needs time to heal. You'll lose the weight soon enough; just eat right and exercise and the weight will come off.

So what, your doctor said that having a baby is not traumatic on your body?!

I actually went to the OBGYN today and I lost 2 lbs in 4 days. I dont know if I am in the parimeters to take it, but I guess it is working. Alot of people have been telling me that my uterus is still swollen and that my body needs time to get back to normal. I asked my doctor if that is true and she laughed. She basically felt my uterus and said it went way down a long time ago. "People just say that as an excuse to not loose the weight quick enough". She said "you can only use that for so long." She also said that "there is no reason what so ever that I should not be back to my normal shape and weight." She told me "not to listen to everyone when they tell you that your body needs 9 months to heal. That is B.S. and an EXCUSE!
She said the pill did work because I was 114 on Monday and now 112 on Thursday. My goal is to lose 14 lbs in total. 12 more to go.
Damn - what the hell kind of nazi OBGYN do you have????
My OBGYN had 4 kids, and she's thin, and she said that everything in your body shifts, so even if you are the same weight after, you will still look heavier and your clothes won't fit.... she said it takes time and effort. You have to eat healthy and exercise, plain and simple.
sorry, but there is no magic pill. I am 5 mts post partum, and lose a little bit each week. I was also a wreck wanting to lose the wight asap and my dr., thankfully, talked me back to reality. sorry, but your dr. sounds very heartless to tell any post partum woman that, and sounds like she could encourage awful behavior for women who should be taking care of themselves. I diet and exercise normally.
I never heard a dr. ever tell that to a woman who just had a baby....

Re: Alli Diet Pill
Not for nothing but you also look pretty thin in your profile pic, and you really dont weigh that much to begin with... why are you taking an obesity drug? That really is bordering on an eating disorder, if not already.
Hate to sound harsh, but taking something like that when you weigh so little to begin with sounds irresponsible when you have a daughter that you are responsible for in so many ways - especially to teach her to love her body...

Not quite sure what I said that required you to yell back at me...but whatever. Maybe the hunger is getting to you and you're extra-cranky.

Re: Alli Diet Pill
If you are 114 lbs and on a diet Aid, you need to be talking to a Psychologist and not an OBGYN is what everyone is beating aroudn the bush in saying.
114 does not require weight loss at any height. If you need TONING, go to the gym.

Re: Alli Diet Pill
I honestly didnt mean it in a bad way but I can 100% see hwo it came across that way. I should have choosen my words better so I apologize for that.
In all honesty, my intention was to say that you do have a problem if you think 114 lbs is overweight enough to need a diet pill.
It is not overweight....Not by ANYONES standards
Its actually underweight for many heights.
And resorting to diet pills to lose a few pounds does seem like a classic sign of an eating disorder.
Im NOT saying this is what you have....Just pointing out that you seem upset over your weight when its clearly within a normal range.
You might be upset with your post baby body but that can be changed with working out versus losing any more weight.
Again, this too may have come out wrong, I dont mean it too.
I hope you can see your very thin and very beautiful and no one here thinks you need to lose an ounce.

ITA.
And your posts DO seems obsessive about losing weight when 1) you are thin to begin with 2) you just had a baby 3) you are already being proactive about losing weight.
Just take everyones good advice, get off that awful pill, and do it the right way!

Re: Alli Diet Pill
Honestly, I looked up your pics on your profile and you are a beautiful in shape woman. I dont personally see the need for you to lose more BUT it is you that needs to be happy. With that said...Congrats on losing the 2 pounds and I hope you can lose the remaining weight to get down to where you want to be. Your dd is beautiful!

I agree. There is something odd about each one of her posts - plus, she posts her pic on almost every response, even when it has nothing to do with her and her baby!
