I usualy tutor over the summer. This was the first summer I did not work so I could stay home with my baby.

Wow! I can't believe how many of you work through the summer. You must have such higher stamina than I do - even after six years of teaching, come June I NEED those two months to recuperate! (Of course, that's easy for me to say b/c I don't have kids to clothe, feed, etc. and I'll probably change my tune in a few years...)

I don't plan on doing summers when I have a baby. I will def. stop then. If I can work at a camp and have them go to the same camp, then I'll do that, but that's an if. One of the perks of the job is the summers off.

I actually make more money on a daily basis teaching summer school than I do during the regular day. My room is air conditioned and it is usually easier work. It is also a full school day. Our day ends at 3.
