I think it depends on the brand, but I would say it's more of an 8 or 6.

Definitely depends on the brand. I'm a 27"- 28" waist and am a 6 in most places (but a 4 or a 2 in Old Navy and the Limited!), so I think a 30" waist would be an 8 or 10.

This is very upsetting. I'm an 8 in pants and a 28 in jeans. I guess I just have a fat butt!

I have a 26" waist and wear a 4...so I'd say that's an 8, maybe a 6.

Pre-preggo I take either a 29 or a 30 depending on the cut, but I wear a size 6 most of the time.
