City Teachers... please read!
Hi All!!
here is a shameless post for help... My DH has recently been accepted into the Teaching Fellows program. It's the mid-year program so he starts training next week with the hopes of his own class by the end of OCtober. The Board of Ed. can place him, and will, but if he can find a vacancy on his own and the principal agrees, he can choose to go wherever he wants.
Perhaps you know some administrators that are looking to fill a position? Or since he is a mid-year Fellow if you hear of any vacancies, perhaps you could let us know? Any vacancies at your school?
Ideally, he would LOVE a position in the social studies realm: history, government, law, etc. at the middle or high school level. Fellows has placed him in the Special Education track, which essentially just means that is what his Masters will be in, but he can teach whereever he finds a job and/or where he is most needed.
If you think you might be able to pass along his resume or information, let me know or if you know of anyone (names, contact info.) that might be useful, if you could pass that along too, that would be great. We would appreciate any words of wisdom or information you might be able to share! We will explore every lead at this point!
