Freaking out...
Just got a phone call that my DR. left the practice!!! They wouldn't give me anymore information other that it was a business decision. I hope I can find him so I can follow. I'm 35 weeks!!!

I did! They said they have no information. Of course they are going to say that...every patient was switching over to him and they would probobly loose the entire practice.

Megan - I can not believe this is happening to us. I will try to get as much info as possible at my appointment today. I am so  over this whole thing.

They have to be affiliated with a medical board. Is there any way to hunt him down through that?

(Have you looked in the phone book-perhaps you can call his home number? A stretch, I know.)

You could also try asking the hospital that he is affiliated with. (And remember, the hospital is more important than the doctor for labor and delivery!!)

This is what I was thinking too. Maybe the hospital could help you in tracking him down.

Your doc will probable send you a letter letting you know where they were going.. my midwife left without telling me, i received a letter in the mail saying she left and what office she went to.. but i stayed with the practice i was with already.

Ladies, stop freaking out . . . you will find your MD. He will call you and tell you where he is etc. For the immediate need call the hospital where you are delivering and tell them his old office is refusing to provide his new phone # and ask them for it.

girl, that is so immature and rude on his part. I know its late in your pregnancy but Id see if another doctor would take you. Hopefully theres another one in the same building. He shouldnt have left without letting his patients know and giving them a heads up! I wouldnt give him my business. Good luck in finding one.
