Does anyone know where to get nice smaller bedroom furniture? The master bedroom in our co-op is not so master.

Re: Apartment-sized furniture anyone?
We have a small sofa in our apartment that we got at Jennifer convertibles.
It's a great little love seat for our small apt.
Did you try Crate and Barrel? They have some nice smaller couches & sectionals for smaller apts. - or you can do a love seat w/ a 1 & 1/2 chair so 2 ppl can sit on it. Did you try the C&B downtown.

mmmm ikea...... also crate and barrel, CB2, pottery barn, and west elm......
I really think ikea is best.... they have furniture with the smallest footprint.... we've been in tiny apartments for years, and ikea has always been our resource for good storage pieces.
for the bed, desk, chair, and side tables, the other places also work well....
remember, low furniture and glass table tops make a place look more airy and spacious

I wanted to add that you can just use a plain metal frame with boxspring and mattress and add a small padded headboard. Don't use a footboard because it'll make the room more smaller and it's also harder to make the bed.
Unfortunately, we had a regular size frame when we moved into our place and it makes it seem so much smaller. If I could, I would've just used a plain metal frame with small upholstered headboard.

i was gonna say IKEA also. most of their stuff was made for apartments! their shelves and desks are nice because you can buy them in parts, so you can really customize them for what you want.

Check out Room and Board. They have a nice online site and a very large showroom in SoHo. I'm not sure about the bedroom sets but almost all their sofas come in different sizes and they seem to cater to Manhattan-sized spaces.

Re: Apartment-sized furniture anyone?
A lot of stores have recently been adding "small scale" furniture to their inventory. If you plan on having the furniture for awhile, I would look into some pieces from Crate & Barrel, Room & Board, and Pottery Barn. Pottery Barn even has a section of their website devoted to small scale living if you're looking for some ideas. Good luck!
